    Ribbit!

    Ribbit! Ribbit!

That's what your kids will be saying all afternoon as they turn this giant city amphibian into a colorful delight. Children's book author and illustrator, Melanie Hope Greenberg, created this amusing and adorable frog coloring page for budding herpetologists!

Frog coloring page and colored pencils

This frog coloring page features a giant, smiling frog miles away from his natural habitat. Instead, he is perched on a city street surrounded by skyscrapers. How did he get there?

Mysteriously, two humans run away in fear, while a third waves at the oversized croaker in delight. There's a story there for sure, and your kids will no doubt enjoy using their imaginations to narrate the tale to you.

So, plug in the printer, get out the colored pencils, put on a pond-noises soundscape and take a break while your child has some quiet time with a cute frog coloring page.

Print out the coloring page (By clicking on the following link you agree to our terms of service* see end of post) -->: Frog in the City coloring page

    About the Illustrator

Melanie Hope Greenberg hopes one day to see a giant frog on 5th avenue. She's also an award winning author and illustrator of more than 15 children’s books. She was an Artist-In-Residence at the Eric Carle Museum and her books have been featured as a NY Times Great Children's Read. Her cheerful, vibrant illustrations can be found in books such as Good Morning, Digger, Down in the Subway and A City Is.

One of Melanie's favorite parts of being an author/illustrator is talking about her craft with students at libraries and in classrooms. You can learn more about author visits (virtual or in-person) at her website.

Melanie's iconic book, Mermaids on Parade, is available at your local library! It was selected as a Bank Street Best Book, and for the Texas Reading Club and PBS Kids Summer Reading Lists. It was named one of the Top Reprints of 2019 by Fuse#8.
