Seed Collecting Nature Learning Activity

I love autumn and am always so anxious for it to come around and as we had some very autumn like temps the last two weeks in August, I jumped the gun on the autumn project a little bit. I thought it might be fun for Kiddo to do some seed collecting.
First he painted and decorated an egg carton. I should mention that in subsequent days, the amount of glitter glue on the top has increased, especially in the center cavity. Squeezing substances from tubes is a favorite activity around here.
The next day (it took a day for the mound of glitter glue to dry!) we took a seed-collecting walk in the park and came back with a supply. He’s added to his collection since then when we see new types of seed pods. I think we will try something similar with leaves when they start changing.

What is it about glitter glue?! CJ is fascinated with that stuff! The variety of seeds you and Kiddo have collected is impressive- I need to find a cool place for us to gather seeds (and leaves) too- I think we’d both enjoy it.
