    9 Creative (and Easy) Autumn Activities for Kids

    It is Autumn! The very best season of the year. Time to do some fun autumn activities with the kids! Collect some leaves, crunch a few apples and make art in the process.  The best part? All of these fall activity ideas are super-easy (this is me we are talking about!) so you don't have to plan ahead or find a much of materials.

    As they say, the proof is in the pudding, so scroll through these photos and you will see that most of these ideas are self-explanatory. But you can still click through any of the links to learn more.

    So get your autumn on and try one of these fun fall projects for kids! You won't be sorry!

    Autumn Leaf Wreath

    All you need are a bunch a leaves collected from an obliging tree, heavy paper, scissors and glue! Get our autumn leaf wreath instructions here.

    Pumpkin Art

    Here's the easiest autumn art project ever! Cut a mini pumpkin in half (or not!) and start stamping. View our mini pumpkin print process.

    Leaf Art

    Gather all the leaves you don't use for the autumn leaf wreath, and make the easiest fall leaf art ever using liquid watercolors, an absolute favorite art supply! This creative autumn art project focuses on the process, but the product is still gorgeous!

    Fall Window Art

    Charm the neighbors by decorating your windows with cellophane fall leaves. The cellophane has a gorgeous stained glass effect when the light shines through it! The process is easy and all you need is a little soap and water and they will stay up for months. Learn the process of making the best window art ever here.

    Bake Fall Leaf Cookies

    Plant Paperwhites

    Every autumn we plant paperwhites. It's a wonderful nature activity for kids because it requires patience to see the results. But by the time winter starts, your home will be filled with fragrant blossoms and kids will be so proud of their work!

    Apple Printing

    Like pumpkin prints, apple printing is a deliriously easy, must-do creative fall activity for kids. Take two apples. Cut in half top to bottom, and the other in half side to side. Press in paint, press on paper and compare the results. Then go to town!

    Collect Seeds

    The kiddo has been collecting interesting seeds on all of our nature walks. He painted and decorated an egg carton for that purpose. See the snazzy finished product and get inspired with some more seed collecting activities for fall.

      Holy cow! Look at those apples on the tree! I called around to orchards today and they're all closed due to so much rain. I can't figure out if they're closed for the season (it's been a wet summer, and the peach orchard told me earlier they wouldn't be open for apples) or, if because it's supposed to rain all week. I hope we get to pick!
