My son loved this brand new ornament coloring page from Melanie Hope Greenberg. I left it on the table for him to find after school and he sat right down to do it! Print it out along with her interfaith ornament and Christmas tree coloring page and craft and your kids will be busy with the markers and crayons while you do the dishes. (Or, preferably, finish that cup of tea.)
We don't do many handmade ornaments, so now with our new star and moon ornaments combined with our Swedish Christmas craft "woven" hearts, this is a bit of a record for us. I love that this ornament is non-denominational, so it fits a variety of occasions.
If you are traveling or going out to restaurants this holiday season, coloring pages are a nice, quiet activity to bring along. You can stick with something seasonal, or peruse our monthly coloring page feature. Melanie and I have been collaborating for 2 years, now!

Meet the illustrator:
Melanie Hope Greenberg is an award winning author and illustrator of more than 15 children’s books. Her very popular Mermaids on Parade was selected as a Bank Street Best Book, and for the Texas Reading Club and PBS Kids Summer Reading Lists.
Melanie also visits schools to talk about the process of creating a book: you can read about that AND get 2 additional free coloring pages on her blog. Learn more about her internationally recognized art work at her official website.
I’m sure you know a kid who likes diggers. Or mermaids? Or subways? Melanie signs all copies of her books purchased through her Amazon vendor link. (Book covers are affiliate links.)
