Do coloring pages promote imagination or stifle it? Some might argue that giving a child a coloring page to work on inhibits artistic expression, but that all depends on how you use them. This month's park coloring page is designed to spark your child's imagination! Children's book author and illustrator, Melanie Hope Greenberg has created a fun prompt with her new "design your own park and logo" coloring page!

Melanie was inspired by the National Park Logo to encourage your children to give their new park its very own name and badge. In addition, the park coloring page includes an empty path so kids can draw their own park adventurers on a hike.
As you can see in the photo above, the artist (I wonder who that could be?) who colored the example page utilized the tried and true alternative to drawing: cut and paste! Creatures that once graced the pages of an old nature calendar now frolic in Butterfly Wood.
So print out the park coloring page and start imagining the park of your dreams!
