    Imaginative Fairy Tale Coloring Page

    • Facebook

Do you kids love magical realms? What better way to celebrate that love than with fairy tales, rainbows and a hefty dose of imagination. For our monthly coloring page series, children's book author and illustrator, Melanie Hope Greenberg, has created, exclusively for you, this darling fairy tale coloring page complete with a princess in a castle, kids in a hot air balloon off on an adventure and a shepherd watching over his flock! Personally, I love it because it takes me back to when I was six. And I bet your kids will love it, too.

When you print out a few of these fairy tale coloring pages for your kids, classroom or library activity group you can be assured to be transported to another, magical realm complete with warm and gentle sunshine.

But coloring pages are just for quiet time anymore! I like to include extension activities whenever possible.

Literary Extension: While your children are coloring, or perhaps after they finish, ask them if they see a story in the picture. If they seem reluctant, you could start with a few low key prompts, "I wonder where the children are off to, in that hot air balloon?" Or, "I bet the shepherd gave his sheep some funny names!"

    More imaginative coloring pages:

    • Another rainbow coloring page!
    • Butterfly fairy coloring page
    • Unicorn coloring page
    • Kite storybook coloring pages

    Happy coloring!
