Melanie's dollhouse illustration is based on one of her published greeting cards. Before illustrating picture books, Melanie illustrated over 200 greeting cards for several greeting card companies which sold all over the country.

ACTIVITY IDEA:
For a fun pretend play twist on the dollhouse coloring page, glue the finished house to a shoebox. Stand it up, make some stick puppets or finger puppets and use as a backdrop for storytelling.
Alternatively, instead of decorating the rooms, carefully cut openings where the blank rooms are and use as a puppet theater!
