    Do your kids love to watch airplanes take off and land? Do they think it's fun to try and read the messages of airplanes that travel with banners flapping behind them?

    Then this airplane coloring page is for them!

    Designed by children's book author and illustrator, Melanie Hope Greenberg, and based on one of her published greeting cards, this airplane coloring page will give kids the chance to write their own airplane banner messages.

    Coloring pages are great on-the-spot boredom busters, as well as good table-top activities for parties and gatherings.

    Greenberg's illustration feature a line of vehicles traveling across a bridge spanning a body of water. High over head flies an airplane with a trailing behind. With so much traffic to color, you'll definitely want to have this airplane scene coloring sheet on had for kids who love transportation.

    About the Illustrator

    Melanie Hope Greenberg loves imagine what she'd tell the world on an airplane banner. She's also an award winning author and illustrator of more than 15 children’s books. She was an Artist-In-Residence at the Eric Carle Museum and her books have been featured as a NY Times Great Children's Read. Her cheerful, vibrant illustrations can be found in books such as Good Morning, Digger, Down in the Subway and A City Is.

    One of Melanie's favorite parts of being an author/illustrator is talking about her craft with students at libraries and in classrooms. You can learn more about author visits (virtual or in-person) at her website.

    Melanie's iconic book, Mermaids on Parade was selected as a Bank Street Best Book, and for the Texas Reading Club and PBS Kids Summer Reading Lists. It was named one of the Top Reprints of 2019 by Fuse#8.
