What Really Happens When You Dye Easter Eggs With Kids

Today’s Unplugged Project was “eggs.” Well, of course Mom thought most people would do Easter eggs, so why not jump on the band wagon? Honestly, Mom barely got around to it, however, and today’s project almost consisted of simply frying an egg. But as the necessity of filling the day reared its ugly head, Easter eggs it was. And yes, you are reading this correctly, Kiddo made Easter eggs on the day after Easter. But as he spent Easter Sunday with his Jewish great-grandmother, instead of going to some candy-fest egg hunt, it wasn’t really that weird.

Mom is a bit too weary to write much and will instead present this attempt at a photo essay.

I like the photo essay… I see the whole story… mom kept kiddo busy afterwards by picking up all the egg shell pieces that were scattered all over the floor, the ones that mom accidentally stepped on barefoot.

You didn’t think the ending of the story actually eluded us did you? LOL!

BTW, this is a great idea to do with all those broken easter egg shells http://www.makeandtakes.com/crushed-egg-shells

Great photos, especially the smashed up eggs at the end! That’s what my boy would do…”Hmm, what happens if we squeeze it?” (Accompanied by big sister wailing…)

Looks like you had fun though. And using the egg carton as a stamper is very crafty and clever indeed! Impressive!
