We now have two free, printable Thanksgiving coloring pages for kids! This month, Melanie Hope Greenberg designed these sweet place cards featuring pumpkins, pies, a turkey and cornucopia.
If you need a quick and easy activity to keep the children busy while the turkey's in the oven and you've finished reading all your Thanksgiving picture books, have them make place cards. Kids will love knowing they are part of the preparation.
Another way to use this coloring page is to ask kids to write something they are thankful for, cut out each individual card and place one at everyone's plate. During dinner family and friends will enjoy discussing the gratitudes everyone chose.
Download and print: Thanksgiving place cards to color. (By clicking on this link you agree to our terms of service - see below) Tip: If you want a sturdy card, print out on card stock.
Don't miss last year's November coloring page: Thanksgiving bookmarks featuring a runaway turkey.
Meet the illustrator:
Melanie Hope Greenberg is an award winning author and illustrator of more than 15 children’s books. Her cheerful, vibrant illustrations can be found in books such as Good Morning, Digger, Down in the Subway and A City Is. Her very popular Mermaids on Parade was selected as a Bank Street Best Book, and for the Texas Reading Club and PBS Kids Summer Reading Lists.
Melanie also visits schools to talk about the process of creating a book: you can read about that AND get 2 additional free coloring pages on her blog. Learn more about her internationally recognized art work at her official website.
I'm sure you know a kid who likes diggers. Or mermaids? Or subways? Melanie signs all copies of her books purchased through her Amazon vendor link.
