    Does your child love to pretend to be a tiger? This whimsical printable tiger mask for kids is the perfect coloring page for them. Print out the mask, color it in let them roar to their heart's content!

    As with all our coloring pages, this tiger mask template was designed for us by children's book author and illustrator, Melanie Hope Greenberg. And this cute tiger mask craft is totally free.

    How to Make the Tiger Mask

    What you need:

    • Scissors
    • Colored pencils or crayons
    • Hole punch
    • Ribbon, 2 pieces

    Instructions:

    Print out the tiger mask. You can use heavy paper if you want the mask to be extra sturdy, but it's not necessary.

    Color in the tiger. Black and orange? Pink and green? Blue, red and purple? Let your child's tiger be whatever color they like.

    Cut out the mask. For larger faces, cut a wide margin around the tiger's face.

    Punch a hole on either side of the mask.

    Thread each length of ribbon through a hole and secure with a knot.

    Put on mask and secure around head by tying the ribbon at the back!

    About the Illustrator

    Melanie Hope Greenberg loves tigers, but she's not at all dangerous. She's an award winning author and illustrator of more than 15 children’s books. She was an Artist-In-Residence at the Eric Carle Museum and her books have been featured as a NY Times Great Children's Read. Her cheerful, vibrant illustrations can be found in books such as Good Morning, Digger, Down in the Subway and A City Is.

    One of Melanie's favorite parts of being an author/illustrator is talking about her craft with students at libraries and in classrooms. You can learn more about author visits (virtual or in-person) at her website.

    Melanie's iconic book, Mermaids on Parade, is available at your local library! It was selected as a Bank Street Best Book, and for the Texas Reading Club and PBS Kids Summer Reading Lists. It was named one of the Top Reprints of 2019 by Fuse#8.
