While my toddler is suffering from a nasty ear infection, I am searching for simple things to keep Kiddo busy indoors. I realized my orchids needed a little TLC because of all this dry winter-apartment air. Indoor gardening to the rescue!
Since Kiddo loves the spray bottle and I’m teaching him responsibility through taking care of our indoor plants, I put him to work spraying the orchids. I put them in the sink with the simple instruction: “spray them as much as you want!” He did, informing me of all the parts of the plants as he worked. I’m glad to see all our book reading is paying off!
It’s always the small practical life moments that are the most entertaining for the kids. Do you notice that, too?

Isn't it funny how how kids can be so active even when sick? Hope he feels better soon. As for the plants – good thinking!
