Sorting: it never gets boring. We added shells to the beans and pasta routine.

My son won't sort. It's pretty darn irritating. My daughter on the other hand...

Can you explain a little what's the activity? I love your suggestions and I read them once in a while but this time I am out of the loop! I want to learn all these fun activities!! Loos like something I can do with my boy! Thanks so much!

Dariela: it's really easy! Just put a bunch of items in a bowl, such as assorted pasta, dried beans, shells, etc and your child sorts them into muffin tins. For example, pasta in one cup, black beans in another, pinto beans in another and so forth. For added fun we use chopsticks or a pair of tweezers to sort. You could also sort things by color (such as pompoms).
