Toy Vehicle Play: Ramp it Up!

This activity for toy cars is so simple!! Seriously is the cheapest and easiest entertainment for kids! All you do is prop a cookie sheet on a stack of books for an impromptu ramp. (Bonus: this is a good way to get some value out of those self-help books you checked out of the library but never read. Ha Ha)

First roll the blocks down the homemade ramp.

Then proceed to the the cars! I like this photo and couldn’t resist posting it even though it is a little blurry, because our cat looks a bit windswept with his ears pointing backwards.

For those of you who need a photo in focus, here you go:
Easy-peasy. Need more toy car ideas. Well, we certainly have a bunch. Check out this list of 10 activities with toy cars, and this list of 10 MORE activities with toy cars.

Oh, I like the cookie sheet idea, that would make a great sound with the car wheels. My boys would enjoy the noise :). We like to have races and compare types of toy cars, wheel size, grippy tires vs. smooth tires, etc. I can’t help but suggest we then make a chart to show our findings but no one under six years old is interested……….some days it’s hard just being a co-participant and not a teacher!

Isn’t it amazing something the simple things kids just love? We did something like this with a piece of wood and my 4 year old was occupied for almost an hour!
