Dough Boy

If I dare to do anything in the kitchen, New Kid hangs on my legs and demands attention. To keep him busy while I rolled out the pizza dough I gave him a bit to play with while he sat at the table with me.

He found the dough to be very amusing.

And a bit tasty.

I make pizza every week. It’s not hard at all if you use a no-knead pizza dough and is a great way to get greens into tiny tummies. I put finely chopped swiss chard or spinach under the cheese and they always gobble it up.

Do you have Bertucci's restaurants near you? They always give the kids a ball of pizza dough to play with while waiting for dinner and my kids always love it. It's so much better than just giving crayons.

I have a dough eater too. Unfortunately, my dough eater prefers pizza “with nothing on it” – just pizza crust, please 🙂

Great idea! I will have to try this. Little Man loves hanging on mommy's legs in the kitchen too, and the clingy stage seems like it's here to stay for awhile. He is, however, and thrower. I strongly suspect that he'll just end up throwing the dough… worth a shot anyway!

I do the same thing! But I got my easy pizza dough recipe from my friend Laura. You don't even have to let it rise. SO easy.
