Inspired by a classroom poster with the words, "Everyone is Welcome Here," each bookmark features an illustration of a hand reaching for a book with the words, "BOOKS are for EVERYONE". The outstretched hand is surrounded by tiny hearts.
This printable coloring sheet of four bookmarks is a great addition to classrooms and libraries. Cut them out individually and pass out during library story time, or hand out sheets to students to color during quiet time.
To spread the book love, consider getting together a group of children for a service project to color a bunch of bookmarks and include them with a donation of books to an organization like Read Out and Read, or a local literacy center.
