    Cards to Color for Mom and Dad

    This month children's book illustrator Melanie Hope Greenberg is offering up two darling printable coloring pages that serve as great little cards for mom or dad.

    This cute printable is cute for if you want a quick Mother's Day or Father's Day card to color at the restaurant while waiting for your traditional brunch. Alternatively, save them for mom or dad's birthday.

    The blank space can serve as a place for a handwritten message, or cut it out to turn the card into a frame.

    Instructions

    Print out the coloring page, preferably on heavy paper or card stock.

    Download and Print -->  Mother's Day and Father's Day Printable Coloring Page Cards (*by clicking on the preceding link, you agree to our terms of service. See below.)

    Color in the illustration any way you please using crayons, markers or coloring pencils. Cut out the individual cards. One for mom and one for dad!

    To use as a greeting card, write a message in the blank space, and fold the card in half.

    To use the coloring page as a frame, affix an appropriate sized photo in the blank space. Alternatively, carefully cut out the blank rectangle, creating a frame and affix the photo to the back of the framed area.

    Give your cards to mom and dad and watch them smile!

    Melanie Hope Greenberg is an award winning author and illustrator of more than 15 children's books. Her popular book, Mermaids on Parade, was selected as a Bank Street Best Book, and for the Texas Reading Club and PBS Kids Summer Reading Lists.

    Melanie's illustrations have been published internationally so take a peek at her illustration website. She was an artist-in-residence at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art and conducts author-illustrator workshops at schools and libraries all over the country.
