Selections from The Children’s Bookshelf

Is everyone enjoying spring? I love all the pink and white blossoms that cling to the trees this time of year and I also am eagerly looking forward to reading outside! Last week I shared some Reading Tips and KC Edventures linked up a few wonderful spring books for kids. The most clicked link was Fantastic Fun and Learning‘s 18 books about seeds, so I’m guessing you all are in the mood for spring, too.

Before we get to this week’s linky I’m going to bring your attention to an interesting series that The Good Long Road has been publishing (and linking up!) this year: Project 101, Weekly Library Challenge. Jen’s local library is celebrating its 101th anniversary and to commemorate the event, Jen and her family are sharing one children’s book and one grown-up book they read each week. Last week she shared A Stick Is an Excellent Thing: Poems Celebrating Outdoor Play, perfect for National Poetry Month. It’s great fun to follow Jen along each week to see what books she and her kids discover, especially since they frequent a bookmobile!

Thanks to everyone who has been linking up, I can’t wait to see what you’ve been reading and learning about this week.
