Theater-themed Cards to Color that Double as Frames!

    • Facebook

Everyone loves getting a handmade card and this month Melanie Hope Greenberg's printable coloring page is actually two theater-themed cards to color. This coloring page are great to give to a recipient who is performing in a play or just loves the movies.

As a bonus, the cards will also double as frames. We'll give you instructions how to use them as note cards or frames below. And don't forget to read some of these great theater picture books, too.

    What you need:

Coloring page printable. We recommend using card stock, but plain office paper will also work

    • Download and print the coloring page (by clicking on the following link you agree to our terms of service; see end of post for details*): Theater Card Coloring Page

    Crayons or coloring pencils

In addition, for the frames you will need:

    • scissors
    • tape
    • your photo

    Card Instructions

If using the theater illustrations as a simple coloring page, go ahead and print it out and color to your heart's content.

If using the coloring page as a card for a budding thespian, color the page, write a lovely message in the blank spot and fold the paper in half, creasing the edge.

Note, the marquee above the movie theater reads, "Happy Birthday." If not using it as a birthday card, you can save that portion of the coloring page for another day, or place a label over the message.

My son engaged in his usual scribble-madness when I gave him the coloring page!

    Frame Instructions

After printing and coloring, cut out the large blank portions of the illustrations, between the theater curtains on one side and under the movie theater on the other. You'll want to size the opening to the photo you will be using.

Place your photo behind the cut out and tape securely.
